An executive order is a signed, written, and published directive from the Mayor that manages operations of the city government. They are numbered consecutively, so executive orders may be referenced by their assigned number, or their topic. These are official directives or commands from the Mayor and concern the implementation or enforcement of rules, policies and procedures which have the force of law.
