The Manila City Council (MCC) said it will pass a resolution to increase all cinema tickets by P1 from May 1 to June 30 to support psoriasis patients.

During its 126th regular session, MCC passed on its third reading City Ordinance No. 9040 that allows the City Government of Manila to support the Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil).

Filed by Councilor Arlene Maile Atienza, the ordinance was warmly welcomed by the members of the council.

MCC said they are just waiting for the signature of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan.

PsorPhil is a globally-recognized organization representing the interests of millions of Filipinos who are suffering from psoriasis.

It is also the only Filipino group recognized by the International Federation of Psoriasis Association and the International Psoriasis Network.

The organization is also a founding member of PsorAsia+Pacific.
